Jövőház Nonprofit Co. was founded in 2000 for promoting renewable energy sources and eco-friendly building technologies in Hungary. The founding members and the experts of the organisation have strong background in economics, sociology, architecture and engineering. Based on their knowledge and experience Jövőház Nonprofit Co. has carried out a large number of promotion and creative campaigns in partnership with local municipalities, NGOs, cultural organisations, enterprises and certain groups of individuals being interested in technologies based on RES. The main objective of these actions were to examine and demonstrate how the chosen eco-friendly technologies can be put in practice. As one of latest projects, Jövőház Nonprofit Co. has developed the first show-room and information center in Hungary for eco-friendly building technologies and renewable energy sources. Located in the heart of Budapest this show-room operates under the name of Jövőház Centrum. It offers free eco-architecture advisory service for public enquirers regarding the implementation of biomass, solar, geothermic and wind power systems and other eco-friendly building solutions. Besides this Jövőház Nonprofit Co. provide municipalities and local communities with consultancy on exploring the local potential and on working out tools of implementation for using alternative energy sources.
